Intro to Video Podcasting
Video Podcasting has been on the rise for the past few years, and both new and experienced podcasters are looking to capitalize on the opportunity to expand their audience through YouTube and Spotify. With the evolution from audio to video podcasts comes new gear and equipment to purchase as well. Here at HumblePod, we want to be sure you’re prepared to meet the demands of video podcasting, and so we’ve compiled this guide to help you do just that.
My hope is that we can save you a lot of research and deliberation. As a professional podcaster and producer for more than a decade, I can tell you that finding the right gear can be an agonizing process. Fortunately for you, we’ve already been through that process! This guide is based on those years of experience and is made up of gear that I have either used in the past as I’ve grown my business or am currently using to produce content.
How to use the guide
This guide is meant for you to pick and choose what you want to learn. We highly recommend you start with our primer, which will help you set a baseline for all your video podcast production needs. However, given the highly nuanced world of video and the varying levels of expertise that folks who visit this guide will have, it’s not going to be as simple as, “where will you be filming and what’s your budget?” So we’re setting this guide up a bit differently.
Below this section, you’ll see a button for the primer. This is where we recommend most folks start. If you feel confident in your knowledge, then feel free to scroll further down and look for the guide that best fits your needs, wants, and desires for video podcasting.
Happy Video Podcasting!
